Apple Mail automation

macOS may ask whether LittleDraft can control Apple Mail when you use a Mail feature. For replies, LittleDraft reads the selected message or the relevant open draft. If you choose to learn your writing style, it reads examples from the Sent folders and periods you select. Optional Pre-Drafts use eligible unread messages in the inboxes you choose.

To change access, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation, find LittleDraft and switch Apple Mail on or off. You may need to open Mail and use the feature once before it appears in the list. Style learning is local; generating a reply sends the selected message and permitted context to LittleDraft’s AI service. Learn how AI processing works.

Accessibility

Accessibility lets LittleDraft identify and interact with the active Mail reply window, including placing a draft at the cursor. macOS grants access to other applications’ interface controls, so enable it only if you want those features. Reading selected messages and learning from Mail through Automation do not themselves require Accessibility.

To grant or revoke it, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and change LittleDraft’s access. The manual editor and copy workflow provide alternatives when direct insertion is unavailable.

Screen & system audio recording

Capture Context is an optional feature available with Pro. When you invoke its shortcut outside Mail, or explicitly choose Capture Context from the menu bar, it takes one snapshot of the entire display under your pointer. There is no window or area picker. The screen may contain sensitive information from any visible app, so check what is on that display before capturing.

Text recognition happens on your Mac. Recognized text is saved automatically to the encrypted Library; screenshot images are not saved or uploaded. Relevant saved text can be used in future replies, including optional automatic Pre-Drafts. Review or remove saved captures in Library. The capture does not record audio.

When you first use the feature, macOS may request Screen Recording access. To grant or revoke it, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording and change LittleDraft’s access. macOS may require an app restart after a change. You can disable the capture shortcut in Preferences → Shortcuts.

Notifications

Notifications are optional for Pre-Drafts. LittleDraft asks macOS for notification access only if you enable the notification option. You can switch the app’s option off in Pre-Drafts; to change the system permission, open System Settings → Notifications → LittleDraft.

Files, Keychain and authentication

Use the file chooser to select the documents you want to import. macOS may request access to protected locations depending on where a file is stored. LittleDraft does not require Full Disk Access for the documented workflow. macOS Keychain protects local credentials and encryption keys, and Touch ID or your Mac password can unlock the protected reply-knowledge view.

Access to these services and the choices inside LittleDraft are separate. Disabling a feature in LittleDraft does not revoke a system permission; use System Settings for that. For data handling and deletion, see the Privacy Policy and Account deletion.
